MU is the answer that refuses the question.
A monk asks whether a dog has Buddha nature. The master says Mu. Not yes, not no. It rejects the premise entirely. It's the most famous koan in Zen and it's also, read plainly, a word that means I will not accept the terms you're offering.
That's the track.
The lead is electric violin. I went back and forth on this and landed there because a violin can argue. Bowed sustain gives you a line that doesn't break for breath, and when it turns aggressive it sounds less like a synth and more like something being insisted on. The trill work is native to the instrument rather than programmed, which is the difference between a lead that sounds designed and a lead that sounds played.
140 BPM in F minor. Rolling 16th offbeat bass, tribal percussion, taiko on the accents, breathy sidechains under everything. The third breakdown drops the whole framework and brings in guitar before the final drop puts it back together.
Twenty words of vocal across six minutes. Chanted, not sung.
Having said that, the loudest thing in this track is the part where everything stops.
