AIrmin Van Buuren’s eighth album is a journey through the parts of life that are not always clean, simple, or easy to explain. The album moves through emotional vocal trance, progressive house, narrative-driven instrumentals, darker melodic moments, and high-energy electronic tracks, but the intention stays the same throughout: keep moving forward.
This album has a wider emotional range than the previous ones. The Sound opens the door with that nostalgic Ibiza vocal trance feeling, while tracks like You Have A Tell, Demons, Imposter, Hurry, After The Lightning, and Still Walking go deeper into vulnerability, pressure, fear, and resilience. The instrumental tracks, The Afterlife, Cello Tears, and Touch & Go, bring the story into a more cinematic space, where the melody has to speak without words. A Little Melody, First Step Fever, Loki, Two Of Me, and My Boat add different shades of movement, identity, and escape. Together, these tracks are meant to feel like one continuous emotional drive, not just a collection of songs.
